Lead the change: applications accepted for Young Energy Ambassadors

Young professionals contributing to the energy transition.

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) invites young people to apply for its Young Energy Ambassadorship

EUSEW is committed to empowering the leaders of tomorrow, today, by presenting a dynamic cohort of 30 vibrant minds, aged 18 to 34, from different fields across Europe. Young Energy Ambassadors will have a unique chance to shape the conversation on the EU’s energy future, networking with key industry figures and policy-makers during the conference and beyond.

Young voices need to be heard, so the EUSEW organising team will take care of all travel and accommodation costs for Young Energy Ambassadors to attend the conference in Brussels from 11 to 13 June 2024. Those who are interested, can apply now for a chance to be part of this transformative experience (applications close on 3 March 2024).

Shaping the sustainability narrative
Young Energy Ambassadors will be part of an influential group, actively participating in discussions about clean energy and climate change mitigation. The role of a Young Energy Ambassador is multifaceted, including interactive sessions and a dedicated session at the Policy Conference. Here, they will bring youth perspectives to the forefront, discussing the environmental, social and economic impacts of energy communities. Their participation is not limited to discussions: they can also join co-creation workshops, where they will work on developing practical solutions for energy transition challenges.

European Sustainable Week 2024
This year's edition promises to be a pivotal platform for discussing and advancing Europe's energy goals in the context of global competitiveness and sustainability. Under the theme 'Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe', it will focus on exploring and showcasing solutions that align with the EU's ambitious net-zero targets.

Beyond covering all their travel and accommodation expenses, the ambassadorship will grant them full access to the event. Adding to a wealth of opportunities for participation, they will be directly involved in the activities of the fifth edition of the European Youth Energy Day (EYED), a forum dedicated to maximising the impact of young professionals that will also be held during EUSEW 2024.

Lasting impact
Engagement as a Young Energy Ambassador extends beyond the European Sustainable Energy Week conference in June. With a year-long mandate, ambassadors have a sustained platform to share their perspectives and progress, making continual contributions to the EUSEW news and other forums.

Joining the movement
Being a Young Energy Ambassador is more than a role; it is a chance to shape Europe's energy landscape. Any young professionals passionate about advancing clean energy solutions and combating climate change, can apply to become a Young Energy Ambassador and be at the forefront of Europe's sustainable future.
